‘Glimmers’ is the debut album for piano alone from Scottish pianist and composer, Rob Connor. A  work of two distinct aspects, ‘Glimmers’ strives towards bold new musical textures and means of expression, and simultaneously looks back on the piano’s rich history for inspiration. 

Though not without its moments of stillness and intimacy, the compositions of ‘Glimmers’ are unapologetically dynamic and vibrant. With that in mind, Rob chose the full-bodied scale and scope of the concert grand piano for the recording. From the wild, pulsating rhythms of ‘Waves’, to the healing harmonics of ‘To Nurture’, ‘Glimmers’ promises both an enthralling journey on the concert stage with moments of deep meditation for listening at home.
